ShareMethods Announces Expansion of Executive Team

New vice president to lead sales and strategic business development

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 17, 2007 - Salesforce.com Dreamforce 2007 Conference - ShareMethods (http://www.sharemethods.com) has added a key member to its executive team to help manage its success in growing the business and in penetrating new markets. Effective immediately, Doran Howitt, a seasoned technology executive, has joined as vice president of sales and business development, a new position.

Howitt brings to ShareMethods broad experience in high-tech sales and marketing, previously at AT&T, Dow Jones, International Data Group (IDG), Western Union, Thunderstone Software, and other companies. At ShareMethods, Howitt has already had an immediate impact, closing key enterprise sales, and leading the company further into enterprise collaboration with its new ShareWiki™ product, a feature of the company's innovative ShareOffice™ software-as-a-service application suite. Howitt also will provide leadership to the company's efforts in online office and "office 2.0" productivity applications via the OpenSAM (Open Simple Ajax Mashup) consortium which the company co-founded.

"This is a key move forward for our business," said Eric Hoffert, CEO of ShareMethods. "Since our founding, we have become a leader in the fields of on-demand document and knowledge management. Doran's joining will play a key role in expanding our sales and enhancing our strategy. Doran is responsible for leading sales efforts and also for strategic partnerships and distribution channels. We are very excited to have Doran join the team, especially with his background in online services. ShareMethods now provides on-demand services to more than 200 companies on a global basis, with users in more than 30 countries; with Doran's leadership, we look forward to growing this base substantially."
