Author of "The Bright Side: Surviving Your Parents Divorce" creates online destination resource for kids.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2007 -- Max Sindell is setting out to help millions of children and teens to find the silver lining in a very difficult topic: divorce. Debuting his new Web site www.SurvivingYourParentsDivorce.com, the author of "The Bright Side: Surviving Your Parents Divorce" has become a passionate ambassador for fellow youth struggling to cope with what can be a harrowing experience, offering tips and insight on how to reach a positive perspective and make their lives a little brighter.

A child of divorce himself, Max has made it his mission to help kids in the same situation, offering an online destination for children looking for guidance, advice, and practical information on how to cope. The new site will feature an 'Ask Max section, where kids (and parents!) can ask Max anything. Max will post new answers weekly and even personally send emails to those not keen on having their questions made public. Visitors can also check out Maxs tour schedule, media appearances, and useful and fun links.

Maxs parents were divorced when he was six years old. That was his fathers second divorce. His mother has since remarried and so has his father . . . twice. Max has dealt with all the angles of divorce, from traveling across the country alone at the age of eight, to dealing with his parents new boyfriends and girlfriends, as well as step-fathers and step-mothers.

Max tried to find all the positive aspects of these divorces and the way they affected his family. Max Sindell wanted to share this information and help as many people as possible. Several years ago, he decided that the best way to do that was with a book written for kids, by a kid who had been through what they were going through, a book that communicates with kids on their level. Not just an emotional support resource, "The Bright Side: Surviving Your Parents Divorce," (HCI Books, $12.95) offers practical information on topics such as living in two households, preventing parents from name calling, and most importantly, the Divorced Kids Bill of Rights, a list of basic rights every child is entitled to, and every family member should respect.

About the Author

Max Sindell graduated with a major in creative writing from the Interlochen Arts Academy, the nations first and foremost boarding fine-arts high school, in which 500 of the worlds most talented and motivated young artists study music, theatre, dance, visual arts, creative writing, and motion picture arts in a college-like setting. Max just graduated from Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in writing. He is excited about this project and is eager to share his experience with the millions of kids who are going or have gone through divorce.
