Massachusetts Energy Summit to be Held October 3, 2007

The Massachusetts Energy Summit will provide a forum to educate the public, business owners, executives and municipal leaders about the variety of energy supply choices and conservation methods, and evolving alternative to fossil fuels. Tom King, National Grid's new Executive Director of Electricity Distribution & Generation and Ian Bowles, Massachusetts Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs will be the featured speakers.

The energy summit's featured speakers are Tom King, National Grid's new Executive Director of Electricity Distribution & Generation and Ian Bowles, Massachusetts Secretary of Energy & Environmental Affairs. Panel topics include the competitive energy marketplace and renewal energy; best practices in energy efficiency; and a municipal/public panel on innovative programs and best practices presented by representatives from the towns of Worcester, Marlborough, and Brockton, Massachusetts, and the League of Cities & Towns Power Aggregation in Rhode Island. In addition, Brian Fairban, President and CEO of Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort will share how he harnessed wind power to provide green power for the ski area's needs.
