A Toast for a Cure! Carafe Chesapeake 's Support For Juvenile Diabetes Research Continues

Carafe Wine Makers of Chesapeake, Virginia's first micro-winery, urges local wine-lovers to build a personal batch of wine and contribute to the cause. During the last week of September, Carafe Wine Makers has made a pledge to donate $25 from each batch of wine sold to the JDRF.

Chesapeake, VA (PRWEB) September 26, 2007 -- Carafe Wine Makers (www.carafewinemakers.com) of Chesapeake, Virginia's first micro-winery, urges local wine-lovers to build a personal batch of wine and contribute to the cause. During the last week of September, Carafe Wine Makers has made a pledge to donate $25 from each batch of wine sold to the JDRF.

Carafe has supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation since their opening, helping to raise over $10,000 in the first two years. The JDRF receives donations from Carafe together with donations raised by Carafe owners, Robert and Cynthia Miller's family team, fondly named, "Kate's Kommandos", in honor their daughter, Katelyn.

Katelyn was diagnosed in 2004 with Type 1 diabetes when she was just 9-years old, and understandably, juvenile diabetes has become a cause that is very close to the Miller's hearts.

Unlike the disease of Juvenile Diabetes, this fundraising event is simple;

Order your batch (2 1/2 cases) of Private Label Wine at our Chesapeake Winery, and Carafe will donate $25 from each batch sold to JDRF.

Carafe Winemakers is located at 1036 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA. The event is taking place from Tuesday to Friday, September 25th to 28th, 12 pm to 8 pm and Saturday, September 29th from 9 am to 5 pm.
