Mobile Metrics Announces WiMAX Tracing Support for Wireshark

Starting with release 0.99.7, Wireshark will feature WiMAX tracing support for the R6, R4, and R3 WiMAX interfaces.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 26, 2007 -- Mobile Metrics announced today that it has updated Wireshark® with the capability of tracing WiMAX® traffic on the R6, R4 and R3 interfaces. This capability will be generally available in the next Wireshark release (0.99.7), but is also available now in the development stream.

It should be noted that Mobile Metrics, a member company of the WiMAX Forum, checked with the Forum and received permission to go forward with the submission earlier this month.
