U.S. Army Leverages McCabe Software's Arsenal of Source Code Analysis Tools Software Quality Assessment and Auditing Services Laboratory employs McCabe IQ to improve quality and mitigate risk. Warwick, RI (PRWEB) October 1, 2007 The U.S. Army Software Engineering Center's (SEC) Software Quality Assessment and Auditing Services Laboratory in Fort Monmouth, NJ, has been using McCabe IQ to measure and assess software complexity and to mitigate risks in critical Future Combat Systems applications. The laboratory is a product of the Independent Software Quality Assessment (ISQA), a SEC initiative which provides the Army and Department of Defense (DoD) communities with a broad spectrum of software assessment services to ensure software quality throughout the life-cycle. "Over the last 30 years, we have helped many federal/military programs ensure they put out only the highest quality software in their mission critical and life critical applications," said David Belhumeur, CEO of McCabe Software, Inc. "Our advanced static and dynamic software quality/test analysis technology has a legacy of uncovering complexity and identifying risk, making us a perfect fit for the Software Quality Assessment and Auditing Services Laboratory," adds Belhumeur. ISQA is a combination of objective methods, processes, techniques, and tools that are used to assess quality attributes of software products at various stages in their development. McCabe IQ, in conjunction with the lab, provides the ISQA with the ability to perform in depth quality assessment and test coverage analysis. McCabe IQ enables ISQA to identify software problems early so they can be fixed during development, versus during usage, saving time and money.
