Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) September 30, 2007 -- Philip de Souza, CEO of Aurora Enterprises, a leading IT company specializing in state-of-the-art security and compliance solutions for business critical applications, hosted its first in a series of CEO Summits, bringing together top CEOs to discuss issues of interest to C-level executives. The event was co-sponsored by Secure Computing, Inc.

The attendees of the inaugural Summit included CEOs and CFOs from the legal, financial, software, medical and business services industries. The invitation-only event featured a keynote presentation about legislative and security issues affecting corporations and the executives who are responsible for making those key decisions. The keynote was presented by Tim Steinkopf, CFO of Secure Computing.

"We created the CEO Summit as a forum for local CEOs to discuss issues of interests to C-level executives," said de Souza. "As a former chamber president, and long-time CEO, I know the pressures of being an executive, and how hard it is to find venues where you can discuss topics freely among your peers."

Participating guests included: Bill Reid, CFO and Business Manager of the Parker Milliken lawfirm, Richard Lunde, CEO of software firm PrintShift, Raj Diaz, Vice President of Phoenix International, Randy Bowers, CEO of Malaga Bank, Robert Patrick, CEO of PhD Computing, Arnold Leto, CEO of Integrated Aircraft Services, Jay Schoenau, CFO of LA Bio Med, and Sam Vidaurreta, CEO of medical services firm, The Prospice Group.

The keynote presentation sparked discussion on how the CEO sets the tone for a company's security policies, the implications of which have costs corporations millions in fines and lost revenue. After the presentation, the CEOs discussed other topics of interest to them in a free-style roundtable discussion over a plated lunch. Aurora and SecureComputing then treated the CEOs to a private golf clinic with two Trump National golf pros.

"This meeting brought me a great deal of value," said PrintShift CEO Lunde. "It is so easy to become isolated as a CEO, and assembling a group of peers for insightful discussion is a way for CEOs to stay strategically sound."

The next CEO Summit is scheduled for early February and will include a revolving panel of CEOs and keynote speakers on topics of interest to California CEOs. To be considered for participation in a future please contact Aurora Enterprises at (310) 530-8260.
