ProTrails.com Adds Trail Guides for Three National Parks in New Mexico and Utah

ProTrails.com adds new trails in Petroglyph National Monument, Bandelier National Monument and Bryce Canyon National Park

Boulder, CO (PRWEB) October 3, 2007 -- ProTrails, a growing provider of multi-use recreational trail information announced the addition of new trails and photo galleries in the following areas: Petroglyph National Monument, Bandelier National Monument and Bryce Canyon National Park.

Petroglyph National Monument, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico showcases at least 25,000 individual petroglyphs left by ancient inhabitants, some dating back 10,000 years. ProTrails mapped out all of the trails in the four distinct regions of Petroglyph providing a hearty guide to navigate the monument.

Bandelier National Monument, located two hours north of Albuquerque and just outside of Los Alamos, New Mexico, was also added to the ProTrails database. While the backcountry trails of Bandelier will be added in Spring of 2008, ProTrails mapped out the park's interior trails including those which showcase the amazingly preserved cave dwellings of Frijoles Canyon.

"The addition of Petroglyph and Bandelier National Monuments provides website visitors a chance to explore the culture and beauty of the Ancestral Pueblo people," says Dave Schwartz, co-founder of ProTrails. "Both places are still considered sacred areas and special care should be taken for their continued preservation."

The third addition, Bryce Canyon National Park, rounds out the Utah section of ProTrails which showcases Zion, Canyonlands, Arches and Capitol Reef National Parks. Like Bandelier, more trails will be added to Bryce Canyon in 2008 but ProTrails has captured the most frequently used trails and they are now a part of the ProTrails database.

"We're adding trails consistently and the quality of trail information continues to be our main focus", says Schwartz. "For now, our motto continues to be 'one trail at a time.'"
