Ema Design Completes Interpretive Display for Denver Art Museum

Ema Design has announced the completion and installation of an interpretive display for the Denver Art Museum.

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) October 11, 2007 -- Ema Design has announced the completion and installation of an interpretive display for the Denver Art Museum. The four-panel display highlights the restoration, conservation and preservation of Bernardo Zenale's Renaissance painting, "Madonna and Child with Saints," which is part of the museum's permanent collection.

The display is part of an ongoing program to bring awareness of the museum's collections, and to share with the public what happens during the conservation process. "There is a lot going on behind the scenes with research and restoration," noted Tom Ema, owner of Ema Design. "We wanted to present this complex and detailed information in a clear, dramatic way, making it accessible to the general public."

Ema's panels incorporate step-by-step photos detailing the restoration process, as well as a cutaway of the painting's climate-controlling frame showing how the painting is preserved while on display. "Ema Design exceeded my expectations with the creative approach," said Liz Larter, a designer for the Denver Art Museum.

The panels, which took approximately five weeks to complete, are now hanging with "Madonna and Child with Saints" in the European painting department on the sixth floor of the museum.

"It's fascinating to look at a painting that is 500 years old, and to think about how many people have helped take care of that one piece of art for so long," said Ema. "Having the opportunity to help communicate the level of detail and passion that go into that kind of work is really exciting."
