Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) October 12, 2007 -- A social, informational and commercial web site for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or Mormons, and others with similar values – that intends to be the largest of its kind in the world – will be launched November 1.

Called exclusivelyLDS.com (www.exclusivelyLDS.com), the site will provide a venue to buy and sell products and services unique to those of the Latter-day Saint Church or Mormon faith, as well as offer other online content including a weekly e-newsletter and special news features on artists and influential people.

Gaylen Rust, owner of Rust Rare Coin, Inc., in Salt Lake City, is creating the site to give LDS consumers and those with like-minded values a place to “learn, shop and grow in a safe, honest and clean online environment. That’s our basic premise. There are hundreds of LDS-focused web sites. Some are primarily commercial and many are informational. We intend to bring those elements together at exclusivelyLDS.com and create a popular social network. Another unique factor: entrepreneurs or businesses of all sizes – from “mom and pop” home-based businesses to national companies are welcome on our site. This really sets us apart because we want our advertising rates to be attractive to small business owners so they can sell in the LDS marketplace.” Rust emphasized that while the web site is primarily for members of the LDS faith, “anyone who shares similar family-based, wholesome values is invited to join as a subscriber or vendor.”

During the summer of 2007, exclusivelyLDS.com (www.exclusivelyLDS.com) launched its online newsletter which reaches subscribers four times a week. Interspersed among timely articles with practical tips for families and individuals are original interviews with influential people and spotlights on featured businesses and artists. Rust explained that exclusivelyLDS.com is not intended to be a site for LDS Church doctrine, rather “it will be an on-line neighborhood you can visit to find timely and practical tips to help families be successful, interviews with remarkable people, coping skills to deal with common social problems, insights into new trends and ideas, tools to build character, and timely resources for living in the 21st century.” He said the site may have its greatest appeal outside of Utah where LDS products and services aren’t as readily available.

Just by signing up and maintaining their subscription, subscribers become eligible for prize drawings that include a seven day trip to China, a seven night cruise to Mexico or the Caribbean, iPods and CDs. The “Tell-a-Friend” program entitles subscribers to enter a monthly drawing for a $250 American Express gift card.

ExclusivelyLDS.com offers nearly 330 advertising spots on its web site – from monthly low-cost booths to long term annual packages that will give businesses major exposure throughout the site.
