KidPub, Web's Oldest Children's Writing Site, Brings Worldwide Audience to Classrooms

KidPub, a site devoted to promoting children's literacy since 1995, has launched KidPub Schools, a showcase for teachers to post their students' creative writing to be seen by KidPub's worldwide audience.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- KidPub, a web site devoted to promoting children's literacy since 1995, has launched KidPub Schools, a showcase for teachers to post their students' creative writing to be seen by KidPub's worldwide audience. KidPub is the largest collection on the web of stories written by kids for kids, with over 50,000 stories written by children from six to fourteen years old. The new KidPub Schools pages provide each classroom with a page of their own on which they can talk about their class as well as publish stories, poems, plays, and other creative work written by classroom students. The stories are also featured on the front page of kidpub.com.

"We believe that writing skills are a cornerstone for success in life." said KidPub Publisher Perry Donham, "When a story is posted on KidPub, it is read by hundreds, sometimes thousands, of visitors from all over the world, and for a child that's an enormous thrill and an incentive to write."

"Encouraging kids to write helps them develop confidence, creativity, and self-esteem that stays with them all of their lives."

In addition to the new service for classrooms, KidPub features the writing of individual children, writing contests, interactive stories, polls, and text-based adventures, all designed to foster a child's creative spark.
