State Farm® Kicks Off Friday Night Feats

National video contest to find best plays from this year’s high school football season.

Bloomington, IL (PRWEB) October 18, 2007 -- State Farm® Insurance Companies today launched Friday Night Feats, a national contest on YouTube to find bold moves and best plays from this year’s high school football season. Fans and athletes can win up to $15,000 for their high school by submitting a video.

High school football teams, and their 1.2 million players around the country, are creating their own Friday night feats each week. Now until Nov. 29, 2007, anyone can submit videos to the State Farm Friday Night Feats YouTube site, www.youtube.com/fridaynightfeats, to be considered as the best Friday night feat of the 2007 high school football season. The winning video and two finalists must demonstrate a bold, athletic and impactful play displaying teamwork and athleticism.

State Farm recruited Anthony Muñoz, NFL™ Hall of Famer and former lineman with the Cincinnati Bengals, to help introduce the contest and provide insight into the world of high school football.

“Nothing is more exciting than being part of a critical play that becomes its own Friday night feat, whether it’s an amazing touchdown, a bone-jarring tackle, a Hail Mary, or my personal favorite, a key block,” said Muñoz. "State Farm Friday Night Feats is a great way to pump up and support communities and their love of high school football.”

Viewers can upload a video on the Friday Night Feats YouTube page and vote using YouTube star ratings. State Farm will feature the top rated videos from Dec. 1 until Dec. 14, 2007, for viewers to continue voting and help a qualified panel of judges choose the first and second runners-up and the grand prize winner to receive cash prizes. Judging will be based on the "wow" factor, athleticism, impact of the play, and creativity of the video, which will include a title and brief description of the play.
