Newly Developed PC/104 PXA270 Arcom announces the TITAN, a RoHS compliant PC/104 (3.8" x 3.6") single board computer based on the Intel® 520MHz PXA270 XScale® RISC processor. Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) October 19, 2007 -- Arcom, a pioneering developer of embedded computer and communications technology, has announced the TITAN, a RoHS compliant PC/104 (3.8" x 3.6") single board computer based on the Intel® 520MHz PXA270 XScale® RISC processor. TITAN is targeted at ultra-low power, fanless embedded systems and is available with a wide operating temperature range. This highly efficient board design has a typical consumption of just 1.5W but also supports several dynamically adjusted sleep modes to further reduce its power.
TITAN is powered from a single +5V and has five onboard serial ports, a TFT/STN flat panel graphics controller, an LVDS adapter (allowing connection to a flat panel display up to 5m away), analogue touch screen controller, resident onboard soldered Flash and DRAM, 10/100baseTx Ethernet port, I²C controller, dual USB host controller, USB client, AC97 audio/codec, CompactFlash interface (CF+), SDIO and industry standard PC/104 bus expansion.
The TITAN is supported by ready-to-run Development Kits for Embedded Linux and Microsoft Windows CE 5.0. Each Development Kit contains a TITAN pre-loaded with the embedded operating system and all documentation and tools needed for immediate application development.
