During this procedure a small incision is made in the navel area and deflated saline implants are tunneled under the skin to the breasts. After inflation, the incision is tucked inside the navel and is not readily visible.

This procedure is also useful for inserting breast implants through the abdominal incision during a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), allowing two procedures to be performed during one operation.
