Denver Family Boosts 11-Year-Old Cancer Patient with World Series Tix

Denver family gives 11-yr-old cancer patient and Rockies fan with World Series tix rather than sell them.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 27, 2007 -- When Arjun Sen and his teenage daughter Raka were thinking about how much they would get by selling their extra pair of World Series tickets, they decided that donating them would garner an even better investment. With the help of The Children's Hospital, they scored a homerun with 11-year-old cancer patient and Rockies fan Taylor Riviera.

Taylor, who has been an avid Colorado Rockies (http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=col) fan for years, played softball until this June when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She knows every statistic and every player, but her favorite is #2 Troy Tulowitzki.

This Sunday, Taylor, her parents and her grandfather will join the Sens for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then it's off to watch the Rockies take on the Red Sox in Game 4 for Taylor and Grandpa.

"My daughter is learning a lot about the business world at a young age, and I wanted to show her that being a strong company means being a strong member of the community," says Arjun Sen, who is president Denver-based Zen Mango.
