Howard Nestler Warns Executives of Marketing Window Howard Nestler, CEO of Executive Options, today in a speech to industry professionals warned of a narrow window of effective marketing prior to the upcoming holidays. New York, NY (PRWEB) November 2, 2007 -- Howard Nestler, CEO of Executive Options, today in a speech to industry professionals warned of a narrow window of effective marketing prior to the upcoming holidays.
"The tendency is to ignore the fact that right now is the time to market," Nestler says. "The holidays still seem remote and there is no particular hurry. Unfortunately, now is the time to strike unless one wants to wait until next spring to get a job."
Nestler told the gathering that marketing is often counter-intuitive. "The actions people take tend to be instinctual often resulting in doing too little too late. The best strategy is preemptive and should be designed to secure the desired result just ahead of the need for it."
Nestler lectured that executives need to apply the same logic and strategy to their own career management that they apply to the products of the corporations for which they work. "When marketing the products and services of their company, executives anticipate market conditions months in advance. How many executives do you know who take the same approach to a successful career transition?"
"The most important contract of their life will be the one they sign for their next job. It cannot be left to chance and it should not be left until the last moment."
