Lightolier, the leader in interior lighting for over a century, has expanded its popular Lytecaster product line with the introduction of Performance IC frame-in kits that incorporate environmentally friendly compact fluorescent lamps. Combining the convenience of the popular Lytening line with the high-performance optics of Uniframe, Performance IC kits install quickly and easily in a variety of residential and commercial settings and meet energy-saving electrical code requirements. The Performance IC line includes 11 frame-in kits with all optics optimized to a specific trim and lamp combination, offering multiple lamp options for increased flexibility and high performance.

"With the increasing need for environmentally friendly products, Lightolier is committed to meeting the highest industry standards for energy efficiency while providing the highest levels of quality and performance that are the hallmarks of our brand," said Kenneth Kawa, Product Manager of Lightolier's Lytecaster business unit. "Lytecaster Performance IC offers the installation convenience of our popular Lytening line of products and the optical performance of our latest introduction, Uniframe. The result is unsurpassed lighting performance that meets code requirements in a variety of settings."

Performance IC incorporates Lytening's SwiveLock™ pivoting mounting bars to allow convenient installation and wiring below the ceiling line. Pre-positioned fasteners enable quick installation in wood, steel or composite construction, while integral T-bar tabs allow for quick installation in suspended grid ceilings. Tool-free knock-out panels and conduit tabs make it easy to run wire through the fixture, and hinge locks hold the doors open and in place to allow wiring without interference. "Performance IC was designed with convenience in mind," said Kawa. "In addition to saving energy, Performance IC users can save a great deal of time and money."

Performance IC features:
