Global Traveler Welcomes New West Coast Addition

Morissa Pawl brings her vast experience in the travel industry to the GT family.

Yardley, PA (PRWEB) November 4, 2007 -- Global Traveler magazine announces that Morissa Pawl has joined the staff as vice president of the Western Region. In her new post, Pawl is responsible for overseeing all advertising efforts on the West Coast, a territory that includes Western Canada, Hawaii and Mexico.

Pawl joins the GT team after years in the travel and hospitality business, both in management and ownership positions. Most recently Pawl served as the vice president, corporate sales for Lanyon, Inc., a provider of content management technology solutions for the travel, transportation and hospitality industries. A seasoned world traveler who is currently working on her doctorate in business at the University of South Africa, Pawl fits right in with the GT family.

"We are very excited to have Morissa join us," said Francis X. Gallagher, Global Traveler president and CEO. "She brings a new perspective to the job because of the variety of positions she has held within this industry. We welcome her as a strong presence and a voice for Global Traveler on the West Coast."

"I am pleased to be working with a publication as professional and highly regarded as Global Traveler," said Pawl. "I have been a fan for quite a while, and now I have the pleasure of being part of the team."

Written for executive travelers, Global Traveler is a U.S.-based publication that takes into account the sophisticated business and lifestyle interests of that well-traveled demographic.
