Artist Body Painting "Paint Off" for Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital; Models will be Painted in 'Styles' of Modern Art Masters

The Brooke Trace Gallery and the Toys in the Sun Run will host annual event benefiting the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 from 6-11 p.m. The event takes place at 1098 NE 45th Street (Floranada Avenue). Jeff Cross, former Miami Dolphin will be host and a judge in the body painting "Paint Off" challenge of professional artists.

(PRWEB) November 6, 2007 -- The Brooke Trace Gallery and the Toys in the Sun Run will host annual event benefiting the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation on Friday, Nov. 16, 2007 from 6-11 p.m. The event takes place at 1098 NE 45th Street (Floranada Avenue). Jeff Cross, former Miami Dolphin will be hosting the event and be one of the judges in the "Paint Off." The talented artists, Rob Robi, Auristela Ramirez & JC of YEK Designs, Valter de Morais, Desiree Rowland, Anna Polonsky, Rita Stankus are among a few of the artists who will compete in a body painting challenge, "Paint Off." Other talented artists whose work will be displayed will include Stu-Art Bailey, Brooke Trace, Tripp Harrison, Ashton Howard, John Bowen, Larry Joe Miller, Jeff Shulman, Picasso, Salvador Dali, Peter Max and more.

The host committee includes Jeff Cross, Bruce Godwin, Dave Davis and others to be announced. "This is a provocative and entertaining demonstration of art meets flesh, a must see," said Jeff Cross. The models will be painted in the style of popular artists such as Van Gogh, Britto, Wyland, Peter Max, Erte, HR Giger and others. The artist with the most popular stylized body painting will receive an award. The Delusions, the Coolist Cats on the east side, will be pounding out their rockabilly style. Riverdown has an incredible line up of talent and will rock out. These seasoned musicians play the way rock should be played. Bourget Bike Works will be exhibiting rolling art on two wheels! Russ Gagliano will be hosting an exhibit of the Baddest selection of rolling art on four wheels from a 51 Merk Kustom "Low n Behold", to street rods, rat rods and more.

There will be a voluntary $5 donation requested at the door. There will be complementary appetizers and entertainment. A silent auction will be held featuring a variety of items donated by the Gallery and local supporting businesses.

The event will support the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation through donations at the door and the silent auction being held from 6-9:30 p.m. Event sponsors include: Big 106, Bourget Bike Works, Fort Lauderdale Harley Davidson, Gold Coast Valet, Hugh's Catering, Bobby Rodriguez Productions Renaissance Festival, Russ Gagliano Classic Car Shows, Merriweather Resort, The Aqua Toy Store, Anthony Crane, Heart Rock Sushi, Kilwin's of Las Olas, Colin & Sas Christian, Center For Optimal Health, and more to be announced. This event will be held in memory of Tommy Ruzzano, a huge supporter of the hospital that just lost his fight with cancer. He assisted and supported this event in past years.
