Xybion Corporation sold its Sensor Positioning Systems Division (XPS) located in Clearwater, Florida to Atlantic Microwave Corporation (AMC) Bolton, Massachusetts

Cedar Knolls, NJ – February 8, 2003 — Xybion Corporation announced today that it has sold the business and assets of its Sensor Positioning Systems Division (XPS) located in Clearwater, Florida to Atlantic Microwave Corporation (AMC) Bolton, Massachusetts, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cobham, plc (London:COB.L).

XPS develops and manufactures direct drive positioners used primarily for high-speed, precision optical sensor tracking applications. XPS will be known as Atlantic Positioning Systems (APS), a division of AMC with its operations and personnel remaining in Clearwater, Florida. The XPS product line compliments AMC’s existing RF tracking business by employing state-of-the-art digital control and communication technology achieving micro-radian accuracies. The US and foreign military, Homeland Defense and other security agencies use these products in a wide range of sophisticated applications.
