Blue Trees Rapid Response GPS Service Brings New Peace of Mind November 2007 - Blue Tree Services announces the launch of a new Rapid Response service for users of its GPS location devices. For the first time, subscribers can be confident that wherever they are, an Assistance Officer will always arrive to help them if they press their personal alarm. Maidstone, Kent (PRWEB) November 21, 2007 -- Blue Tree Services announces the launch of a new Rapid Response service for users of its GPS location devices. For the first time, subscribers can be confident that wherever they are, an Assistance Officer will always arrive to help them if they press their personal alarm.
Users, typically senior or vulnerable people or lone workers, carry a small tracking device which shows their location to a PC at their office or family home. Pressing the alarm button on the device raises an on-screen, email and/or text SMS alert to a configurable list of people including the Rapid Response team.
That alert shows exactly where the person is, enabling assistance to arrive within 20 minutes.
Those caring for elderly people or those prone to wandering and the users themselves, can feel confident that they are safer carrying out their daily lives. As an aid to independent living, this service can allow people to feel safer in their homes and daily routines.
For companies employing lone workers in a wide range of jobs from taxi driving to meter reading, from parking attendants to NHS community care staff, this service provides accurate, real time location information, risk mitigation, and improved safety and security.
The service includes a personal introduction visit and a demonstration on how to use the system. Features of the service includes:
• Holding medical information • Holding keys to premises • Written report on every call-out • Six monthly information and equipment checks
The Blue Tree Rapid Response service costs £9.99 per user per month and £19.99 for each call-out.
The service is operating in Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire with other areas being rolled out soon. It is operated in partnership with SG1 Security and Responding Officers who are first aid trained and professionally certified by the SIA (Security Industry Association).
In order to be location tracked, users may carry the BlueRanger (http://www.bluetreeservices.co.uk/index.php4) GPS tracking device, which is simple to use and about the size of a pack of playing cards, or may download KoolTrax (http://www.bluetreeservices.co.uk/koolTraxManager.php) software to a GPS enabled mobile phone or PDA.
Mike Smuts, Managing Director of Blue Tree Services, commented "There is a great need for vulnerable people to have access to help quickly. However people can be wary of calling 999 for what they see as minor emergencies. Our Rapid Response Service offers immediate help and has the advantage of knowing the location of the person in need of help."
People who would like their county to be the next included in the Rapid Response service area should contact Susan Neil at susan.neil @ bluetreeservices.co.uk
