Mount Carmel College of Nursing Selects Jenzabar EX Total Campus Management™ Solution

College licenses Jenzabar EX, Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution and Jenzabar’s Learning Management Solution.

The fully integrated campus-wide solution consists of the Jenzabar EX Enterprise Resource Planning system, Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution portal, and Jenzabar’s Learning Management System.

Mount Carmel College of Nursing (MCCN) chose the Jenzabar Total Campus Management solution after reviewing several other enterprise solution providers for higher education. MCCN determined that Jenzabar’s systems met the specific needs of the institution and would optimize their overall administrative operations. Jenzabar EX is the fastest-growing ERP system offered on the Microsoft® SQL Server platform in the higher education marketplace. Jenzabar EX delivers key data to offices across the campus, helping institutions manage information more effectively and achieve critical objectives. Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution (JICS), a portal solution designed exclusively for higher education, will provide Mount Carmel College of Nursing with a single point of access to a virtually limitless number of communications, Web services, community building, and e-learning applications. Founded in 1903 by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Mount Carmel College of Nursing provides opportunities for both pre-licensure students and registered nurses to earn a Bachelor’s of Science degree. Mount Carmel School of Nursing received a ten-year accreditation in 1999 from the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Mount Carmel College of Nursing is a specialized institution with a focus on education in the health professions. Two tracks in the nursing curriculum provide opportunities for both pre-licensure students and registered nurses to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree. The Masters in Nursing program began in Fall 2003 and a Graduate Certificate program was started in 2007. The Second Degree Accelerated Program began in January 2007 and the first cohort of students will graduate in February 2008. The College also offers a Dietetic Internship Program for individuals who hold degrees in Dietetics to become registered Dietitians.

Mount Carmel School of Nursing was founded in 1903 by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross and offered a diploma program until 1993 when Mount Carmel College of Nursing was established. The College received accreditation by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) in 1994. Additional, Mount Carmel College of Nursing received accreditation in 1995 from the National League for Nursing for its nursing program. In March 1999, the College received a ten-year accreditation by NCA. Enrollment during the fall and winter semesters is approximately 685 students.
