The landmark agreement means FBM's enterprise IT titles, Computerworld Malaysia, Computerworld Singapore, CIO Asia and MIS Asia magazines, will provide comprehensive coverage of the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008, http://www.wcit2008.org) to be held in Kuala Lumpur May 18 - 22, 2008.
WCIT is the signature forum of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA), a consortium of 73 information technology industry associations that represent over 90 per cent of the world's IT market.

The FBM IT media partnership agreement was signed in Kuala Lumpur last night, in the presence of Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Dato' Sri Dr Jamaludin Jarjis, at the National Innovation Conferences and Exhibitions 2007 gala dinner.
WCIT Chairman Dato' Badlisham Ghazali said that FBM was the first of several media partners that would help bring the event to a potential audience of more than 350 million households and offices worldwide.
"The corporate support we have received certainly bodes well for an event held in Asia at a time when trade in ICT is booming across this region," said Badlisham, citing the forecast of US$1 trillion in Asian ICT trade by 2009, which represents some 25 per cent of the global figure.
FBM Asia Regional Manager, Andrew Smart, said that Fairfax was honored to work in partnership with WCIT 2008.
"This partnership demonstrates our deepening commitment to Asia, and especially Malaysia, over the past two years," Smart said.
"The issues WCIT will address are of great importance to our readership, many of whom will attend this landmark event to interact with WCIT's speakers and the comprehensive programme.
