Analog Devices Speaks on 'Innovation from the Inside Out' at CES 2008

Panelist Maury Wood shares insight into how embedded design enables innovation in consumer electronics.

Norwood, MA (PRWEB) December 3, 2007 -- Innovation: It's the ideal that inspires many consumer electronics designs. The feat is getting that innovation to market in captivating, well-priced products. At the 2008 International CES® in Las Vegas, January 7-10, Analog Devices' Maury Wood will contribute his perspective to the panel, "Innovation from the Inside Out," to be moderated by EE Times Editor-in-Chief, Junko Yoshida.

Session: Innovation from the Inside Out (HLE8)

Date:     Monday, January 7

Time:     1:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.

Place:     LVCC North Hall, Room N256

"Consumers have been conditioned to expect a lot from CE products, in part because embedded software lets developers gear the features and personality of their products to people's needs and tastes," said Wood. "That opens up a big drawing board where innovations are becoming real, starting from within product designs."

Maury Wood is product line director for Mobile Blackfin® Processors at Analog Devices, Inc., where he is focused on developing silicon, software components, and platform frameworks that address a wide spectrum of mobile embedded processing applications, including portable media players and multimedia accessories.

Note to Editors: ADI executives will be available for press interviews by appointment at the show, and by telephone for journalists not attending. Please contact Cynthia Hoye to schedule.
