Who Knew Death Could Be So . . .Rosy?

"A Rose from the Dead" -- Just in time for the holidays: New mystery released by bestselling author Kate Collins.

Valparaiso, Ind. (PRWEB) December 3, 2007 -- In "A Rose from the Dead," Abby Knight, our feisty, fearless florist, is back in her sixth zany mystery. This time she's tackling a group of fun-loving - but not all living -- morticians at a convention of funeral directors. Hoping to drum up more business for her struggling flower shop, Bloomers, what Abby got instead was murder.

SPARK PR, a student-run public relations agency from Valparaiso University is helping Collins promote her book. SPARK PR is comprised of public relations undergraduate students and their advisor, Professor Bonita Neff, Ph.D. Collins "plucked" the group earlier in the year to help her design a promotional campaign for her last book, ACTS OF VIOLETS. Some of the plans for the release of the book include placing hand-painted flower pots stocked with colorful candy canes and bookmarks at local libraries and book stores, creating & sponsoring a book club, creating a Facebook page, and developing proactive word-of-mouth campaigns.

Collins remarked, "I'm so excited to be working with this team of bright young college students. My books' amateur sleuth is a young law school flunk-out-turned florist, so targeting the college-aged reader is a perfect fit."

Kate Collins is an Indiana native who started pursuing her writing career in 1993. She is a member of the Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime.
