A2IM Grammy Nominee Online Listening Station On Txttunes.com Is One-Stop Source For Nominated Indies

American Association of Independent Music & Txttunes Partner To Showcase Independent Artists Throughout Grammy Voting Period

(PRWEB) December 17, 2007 -- The American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) has partnered with Txttunes.com to create an online platform for A2IM's independent label members to feature 2008 Grammy® Nominees from the independent music sector. Throughout the Grammy voting period, fans and Grammy voters can access songs, album artwork, and liner notes at www.txttunes.com/a2im. Labels have already begun uploading content to Txttunes, where the A2IM Grammy Nominee Online Listening Station will remain live until The 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, February 10, 2008, at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, which will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

A2IM President Richard Bengloff stated, "The partnership with Txttunes provides independent labels and their nominated artists enhanced visibility during the Grammy-voting period. This year, twenty-seven (27) A2IM members representing thirty-five (35) labels have received seventy-four (74) nominations in forty-nine (49) Grammy categories. We are proud of the independent artists from various genres who have received nominations this year and A2IM applauds Txttunes' continued support of the independent music community."

Terence Dover, SVP at Txttunes, stated, "This is the first time that fans and Grammy voters will have one place to listen to Grammy nominees from independent labels. The Online Listening Station allows voters to easily review independent nominees while also providing music fans the opportunity to find out about Grammy-nominated music that may have not made their radar yet."

Matt Coleman, CEO of Txttunes, stated, "We look forward to developing our relationship with A2IM members and offering them a range of unique wireless tools, which will allow their fans to purchase songs easily via a widget, as well as the ability to enhance artist/fan communication with our text community and wireless fan club."
