Kids Learn a Chilling Lesson in Art

New York artist and instructor JuliAnn Goronkin helps children improve self confidence and learn new skills through the art of snow sculpture.

Clifton Park, NY (PRWEB) December 24, 2007 -- These are the cold hard facts. Playing in the snow can be fun and instructive. Local artist and instructor, JuliAnn Goronkin is offering a chilling lesson that will cause kids to shiver with excitement.

"Now that winter is upon us we have access to one of nature's coolest sculpting mediums!" exclaims Goronkin. She will be teaching children the art of snow sculpture using tools as basic as shovels, sticks, and spray bottles.

JuliAnn Goronkin teaches elementary aged kids various forms of art, from painting to sculpture, at her home studio in Clifton Park, New York. "Parents enjoy providing their children a structured and creative environment where they can explore their potential and have fun," says Goronkin. Her classes typically consist of up to 6 or 7 children of various ages, and are held after school.

JuliAnn Goronkin believes that the experience and the techniques they learn will stay with the kids throughout their life. She says that children who study art not only benefit from learning new skills but also benefit from improved self confidence. "It's rewarding when I see students complementing each others work and sharing ideas," says Goronkin.

Snow sculpting classes are scheduled in January and February, weather permitting. "We'll have to be flexible to take advantage of the snow," says Goronkin. More information about class schedules can be found on JuliAnn Goronkin's website, www.artbyjuliann.com.
