InventHelp® Client Invents "Stethe-Shield" - An Invention That Could Help Prevent the Spread of Infection

InventHelp® is currently attempting to submit the invention to companies for review.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) December 26, 2007 -- InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Boothwyn, Pa., has designed a sanitary barrier to apply to the head of a stethoscope. This invention is patented and a prototype is available.

The "Stethe-Shield" could assist in reducing the exchange of germs and bacteria from doctor to patient and patient to patient. The invention could help to encourage sanitary practices in the hospital, as well as in the doctor's office. The design of the unit would be easy to use and would not interfere with regular stethoscope functions.

The Stethe-Shield would consist of a plastic dispenser that would measure 3-1/2 inches high, six inches long and four inches wide. The unit would feature a metal cutting edge, circular rubber cutout, tape guide and a rotating spindle. A user would place a 2-3/4-inch wide roll of flexible tape on the spindle. A user would then press the head of the stethoscope onto the circular cutout and the adhesive side of the tape then pull the tape from the dispenser and cut it along the edge. After usage, a user would remove the tape from the stethoscope, dispose of it and dispense a new piece for use on the next patient.

InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
