The Saying "War is Hell" doesn't Begin to Describe How Horrible it Has Been for Tens of Thousands in our Military in Iraq and Afghanistan

Trauma is the Greek word for "wound." Just as a physical wound from combat can cause suffering in the body, psychological trauma can cause acute suffering of mind and spirit. The emotional, physical, and financial toll to those that serve this great country is at an all time high.

(PRWEB) December 28, 2007 -- The United States Entertainment Force nonprofit corporation has launched a new interactive website that will help to not only generate donations for the support of our troops (www.theusef.org), but also has a section in the communities which will help ease troop communication to family and friends while they are deployed and back on the home front (www.unitedstatesentertainmentforce.net).

Jerry Payne, who heads up The United States Entertainment Force, is a Vietnam vet who has dedicated his time and energy to such great causes as The USO and other charitable foundations. The whole premise of The Force is as stated, "We direct our resources to those of our Military who have given so much in the name of freedom, and service to our country. The Fallen Soldier and their families are the ones The Force is dedicated to serving. The Force will be with them to support them, to acknowledge them, and to thank them."

Living up to their name, they are a force to be reckoned with. Jerry Payne, Veteran of the Year broke off from the USO after producing some of the biggest events they had ever seen because he wanted to expand the possibilities in out-reach. Payne says, "The USEF has Four Fronts (http://unitedstatesentertainmentforce.org/about): Serving our Soldiers, Serving our Fallen, Serving our Veterans, and Serving our Children. Even though the USO is an amazing organization, I wanted to deepen and expand my life's work."

The USEF has star power behind it, too. When the USEF was chosen to be the sole celebrity charity at the 2007 Hollywood Christmas Parade (http://unitedstatesentertainmentforce.org/2007/12/12/hollywood-santa-parade), a slew of celebrities joined to support the effort. Kate Vernon and long time boyfriend Chuck Negron rode in the USEF convertible with Payne, as other celebs such as Kevin Chapman, Rex Lee, Brian Scannell, Boo Boo Stewart, Carlos Ramirez, and Nazanin, rallied the USEF cause in supporting the families of the wounded warriors and the fallen troops themselves.

The Hollywood Santa Parade is hosted by legendary daytime Emmy winner Bob Barker, and aired December 16th on KTLA Los Angeles at noon. For more information on The United States Entertainment Force, log onto www.theusef.org.
