(PRWEB) January 8, 2008 - Larry Edelson takes a closer look at the connection between the surging price in Gold and the booming Asian economy. Mr. Edelson examines the differences between the booming Asian marketplace and slumping U.S. real estate.
Gold has recently smashed through its all-time record high of $877 per ounce and surged to $883. And it would not come as a shock for gold to hit the $1000 mark.
Larry Edelson is just back from two months of touring Asia. He found no changes in the rapid economic growth that's driving gold and other commodities skyward.
In contrast, he found a different landscape when he returned home to Florida. Many neighborhoods featured for sale and foreclosure signs. On some streets, more than half the homes were for sale. And then, the worst Labor Department report of the decade was released causing initial shock waves of a recession that could be striking the U.S. economy. Since there is still burgeoning demand for commodities from Asia, and a massive outpouring of cold cash from U.S. and foreign central banks, this could prove dynamite for the price of gold.
"The new, all-time record high in gold denotes and foretells:
A whirlwind of economic and financial turmoil centered in the United States, an even more dramatic response from the Fed and governments around the world, and possibly a massive worldwide inflationary surge," Mr. Edelson states.
