When Europe's largest designer/manufacturer of force gauges launches a new force measurement instrument that must be news - and Mecmesin Limited has just launched two completely re-designed and re-engineered new ranges. Industrial laboratories worldwide evaluate the quality of their manufactured products, materials and components by measuring ability to sustain the application of tensile, compressive or torsional loads.

Mecmesin Limited, Europe's largest designer/manufacturer of force gauges, has launched two new ranges of instruments. The Basic Force Gauge is a budget-priced instrument, whereas the Advanced Force Gauge (Mark III) becomes the new flagship instrument - retaining the name upon which quality control laboratories worldwide have been able to rely for over a decade.

The AFG and BFG both feature: robust cases with stylish ergonomic designs, invertible digital matrix display, analogue 'trend bar' indicating total load, fast data acquisition rate, dual peak facility capturing both tensile and compressive maxima, 'hot keys' enabling gauge to be tailored to each user's particular needs, a loadcell diagnostic test, and a comprehensive range of capacities upto 2500N.

The AFG offers many additional features, including: test stand control from gauge, even faster data acquisition, a keypad design providing logical navigation through the menu-driven software facilities, and interchangeable loadcells. This facility to attach different Advanced Load Cartridges (illustrated) via a 'snap-fix' connector, dramatically increases the range of tests which can be undertaken with one instrument.
