Black Dragon Announces Results of Election

The results of the Annual Meeting of Black Dragon Resource Companies, Inc. are announced.

Oil City, LA (PRWEB) January 23, 2008 -- Joseph Lanza, President of Black Dragon Resource Company (BDGR) announced that the Company held its annual meeting with over approximately 175,000,000 shares of Common Stock attending in person or by proxy.

Mr. Frohling, Corporate Counsel, announced that the Management slate of Messers Lanza, Neely, and Ronsheimer were elected directors with approximately 142,000,000 shares voting in favor. All other proposals were also approved by similar shareholders voting in favor. The other nominees of Messrs. McGuire, Lau, and Chighisola received approximately 40,000,000 shares or approximately 22% of those shareholders voting.

Mr. Lanza stated that he was appreciative of the overwhelming support of the shareholders who voted to continue his leadership, despite the criticisms leveled at him by the Insurgents. He added that the magnitude of votes speaks for itself and he hopes that the Insurgents will now support his efforts to bring in new Management and funding, although none of the Insurgents appeared in person at the meeting.

In attendance were members of the Summit Resource Management Company (Summit), the proposed new management team. Mr. Benjamin Johnson, CEO of Summit stated that he was optimistic about the prospects of joining the Company as its new management team and reported at the meeting that he believed that the Company had a very valuable base of assets, which he believes can be worked to improve production, resulting in increased revenues and adding shareholder value. Mr. Johnson added that Summit's participation is contingent upon the Company's receipt of funding. His communications with the funding source lead him to believe that the prospects for completing the funding are positive.

Mr. Lanza also announced that the Company will be releasing its nine months unaudited financial statements for the period ending September 30, 2007 this week on PinkSheets.com. Mr. Lanza noted that the results for the entire year should be available in the next few weeks.
