Small Business Exporters of Australia Launches The Small Business Exporters of Australia (SBEA), dedicated to supporting the exporting endeavors of Australian small businesses, is launched today Melbourne -- (1 May 2003) -- Small Businesses looking to export will receive a major boost with the launching today of the Small Business Exporters of Australia (SBEA).
The SBEA is looking to help small business enter the lucrative export market with its stated mission 'to encourage, promote and help facilitate exporting by small business in Australia.
Based primarily around the groups website -- www.sbeporters.org - membership is open to all Australian small businesses who have an interest in exporting their products and services.
Executive Director of the new group, Mr Martin Neumann, says that the ever-increasing export market is ripe for small business.
We believe that even the smallest business can find a niche for their products in the world market."
He adds: During our research stage in forming the group we were contacted by literally dozens of importers from various regions of the world who were interested in sourcing products from Australia, leaving us with a clear indication that Australian products were in great demand.
"The industry-wide group has spent more than 400 hours researching and developing its database of exporting that it is making available to prospective members on its website. The group has been organized in a way that time-starved" small business operators can find easy to utilise, and offers on its website updated news, a fortnightly column, various publications, and a place where various issues affecting small businesses are raised.
With the Federal Government wanting Australian exporters to double by 2006, the time is right for small business to seriously look at exporting," says Mr Neumann.
