eValid Version 8 Simplifies Automated Testing of Complex Web Applications Web application testers now have a new and powerful system for performing very complex functional tests, with realistic results and low system overhead. San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) February 2, 2008 -- Software Research, Inc. announced a major new release of its eValid™ Website Test & Analysis Suite: eValid Version 8.
With an already rich feature set, eValid V8 now offers web application testers: a new programmatic interface to most eValid commands and browser actions, new DOM-element motion commands, the ability to report any browser identity to a server and advanced DOM-based AJAX synchronization support.
In addition, the new release includes: options to create "lite" playback scripts, commands to support testing of load balancers, new commands to customize eValid for RIA monitoring applications, and available converters to feed data to monitoring reporting engines such as Nagios, Hyperic and GroundWork.
"The V8 release of eValid represents the most powerful version we have ever done. Not only are there many new Rich Internet Application support features, but we also added in the revolutionary EPI interface," said Edward Miller, President of Software Research. "We learn by listening to our users. Almost all of the features included in this new release are the result of requests by testers in the field. They're the test gurus who are facing the daily challenge of making effective tests of web applications that are becoming more and more efficient, and more and more difficult to test," Miller continued.
"All of the advances and changes we've made in eValid, add up to making V8 the most efficient test engine ever for web applications. With a small product footprint, rich functionality, and the easiest-to-use GUI around, we've really made the work of web application QA and test as simple as possible," Miller concluded.
A detailed list of the many new capacities of eValid Version 8 is shown in the eValid V8 Advances Summary.
