New Release Offers a Scientific Model of the Resurrection

Book explains technical material at a lay level.

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) February 3, 2008 -- In Dr. R.C. Metcalf's newest release, Colliding With Christ (paperback, 978-1-60477-625-6; hardcover, 978-1-60477-626-3), the author examines whether or not Jesus Christ really rose from the dead. While most apologetics books repackage the same information that has been used to defend the faith for centuries, this book offers the reader a new evidential model derived from the data of modern science. Metcalf adds to the textual and historical evidence in favor of the physical resurrection of Jesus by presenting a thought-provoking new model that explains the events of the first Easter scientifically.

Says the author, "For many years, the mainstream media reports at Easter have supported the view that Jesus' resurrection was merely symbolic or metaphorical. This year, a new model offers scientific evidence for the orthodox Christian belief that Jesus physically rose from the dead."

The author began preliminarily researching the book's concepts in 1996. His expertise in science education is demonstrated in his ability to explain technical material at a lay level. He believes readers will gain confidence from his book in the truth of Christianity and the assurance of life after death. Already, his book has proven effective. When his father, an atheist physicist, read the preliminary manuscript of this book, he immediately accepted the truth of Christianity. He believes this is due to the fact that "rather than refuting Christianity, as is commonly perceived, modern science provides evidence in support of the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ."

Dr. R.C. Metcalf is the author of the bestseller Letter to a Christian Nation: Counter Point.
