Juan Casimiro, a man inspired by his dad’s philanthropic efforts, has focused his life on helping others—help themselves—by offering programs that foster entrepreneurship education in the United States and college scholarships for needy youth in developing nations. After his dad’s passing in 2000, he founded the Casimiro Foundation. The foundation partners with numerous local and national organizations, such as, Doral & Airport West Chamber of Commerce, One Doral and JayCees. The Casimiro Foundation is a nonprofit organization who’s mission is to:

Raise and receive funding through donations, fundraising activities, special programs and events in order to advance the Foundation’s educational mission as follows:

Provide information, financial and educational support services for college entrance; Broaden and advance educational activities with and emphasis on business and leadership, particularly as it affects economically challenge youth who are in need of financial assistance as they pursue an undergraduate business degree.

The Casimiro Foundation is made up of energetic and socially conscious individuals, who understand the need to nurture and educate youth today to assure that our nations prosper tomorrow.

Casimiro Foundation, headquartered in South Florida, offers four different business programs for youth:

Social Enterprise Seed Capital fund                              College Scholarships in “Developing Nations”

In three short years, the foundation has grown from offering 5 scholarships in the Dominican Republic to reaching 200 students in New York City and South Florida. One of the foundation’s goal for the years 2003-2005 is to assure that additional college scholarships are given to less fortunate students from South America and the Caribbean. The program works like this: donors, sponsors, grantors make a financial contribution of $500 or more to one the foundation’s programs of their choice and the foundation manages those programs and relationships. Donations for College are forwarded to the financial aid office to which the Casimiro Foundation Scholar has been admitted to. Contributors are provided with “recognition letters” and itemized invoices detailing how their contributions are spent. In addition, donors can become part of the “Amigos (Friends) of the Foundation” by hosting fundraisers and helping create meaningful and strategic partnerships and alliances.
