iBwave and Mentum to Launch the World's First Indoor/Outdoor Integrated Solution at Mobile World Congress

iBwave and Mentum combine RF-vu and Mentum Planet to enable concurrent management of both indoor and outdoor networks.

iBwave Solutions, Inc. and Mentum announced today they have successfully completed the world's first fully integrated indoor/outdoor solution. The two companies will use the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to demonstrate the only product suite available in the industry for managing simultaneously indoor and outdoor networks.

This first integrated solution builds on iBwave and Mentum's partnership announced in November 2007, which enabled Mentum's global sales team to start distributing iBwave's RF-vu for in-building wireless network design. Upon the partnership's finalization, the two companies have been jointly developing the only product suite for managing simultaneously indoor and outdoor networks. The second phase has already been mapped and both iBwave and Mentum have agreed on a development path ensuring that the strength of both products can be leveraged for the benefits of all wireless operators, integrators and vendors wishing to improve network performance.

Currently, the joint offering enables engineers to visualize indoor systems (distributed antenna systems or others) from within Mentum Planet in order to understand the possible challenges to the outdoor radio access network. Having integrated iBwave's RF-vu with Mentum Planet's Data Manager, the joint solution also delivers enterprise-level data management of indoor layouts, plans and coverage to allow complete data editing, versioning and data reporting.
