Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelist Elect New Officers

The Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelist (COTBE) announces the election of new officers.

Mt Lebanon Baptist Encampment, TX (PRWEB) February 9, 2008 - The Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelist (COTBE) announces the election of new officers. The 2008 officers are Paul Cherry President, Todd Keller Vice President, Gary Newman Secretary/Treasurer, Sam Craig Music Director and Ricky Davis Assistant Music Director

"I am excited about serving as president of COTBE this year." says Paul Cherry, a Wolfe City based evangelist. "We are looking forward to all the opportunities that God will open to COTBE this year. We are planning to work with the Dakota Baptist Convention at the Sturgis Bike Rally in August of 2009, as well as other mission projects."

The Conference of Texas Baptist Evangelists is a fellowship of individuals called by God into evangelistic ministry. Individuals, husband and wife teams and families serving together in the ministry of evangelism, as well as evangelistic teams, are all represented among the membership. All those whom God has called into a vocational evangelism are warmly welcomed.

Members of COTBE are people who dedicate their lives to carrying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Texas and to the world. They help organize and assist communities and churches in organizing revivals, concerts, Bible conferences and outreach events in local venues such as rodeo arenas, football stadiums and the local church.

Cherry says COTBE has much to offer Texas Churches. "With varied gifts and spheres of influence, our Texas Baptist Evangelists are called and gifted servants of God that continue to challenge me to be a better person and a much better servant of Jesus."

Many Texas evangelists are involved in missions in such places as the Ukraine, Africa and in the jungles of South America. Some have more than one type of ministry (i.e., music and ventriloquism), but each is supportive of the local church.

COTBE keeps a website available at www.COTBE.org for churches to use as a resource in selecting an evangelist to assist their church.
