FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lancaster, PA (PRWEB) June 1, 2003 Â Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness will be taking center stage this July 4th as the Marion Court Room restaurant proudly presents the first annual Lancaster Freedom Festival. A day of great food and music will take place on Friday, July 4th from 2 p.m. and run until the gates close at 2 a.m.
When the city of Lancaster decided to hold its annual downtown celebration the weekend prior to July 4th, Marion Court Room owner Michael Geesey saw a window of opportunity. ÂThis is a great city and we're really excited to be able to sponsor an event that can bring people together to celebrate the holiday and downtown Lancaster.Â
Many of his patrons and fellow business partners felt the same way and after working out the details, the Lancaster Freedom Fest was born. Sponsors such as Miller Lite/Molson and Captain MorganÂs Spiced Rum have signed on for the festival and central Pennsylvania radio station 105.7 the X will be promoting the festival as well as running live remotes from the event all day on the fourth.
Live music will also be in the spotlight with a full day of performances planned by such local favorites as AJ & Altercana, the Martini Brothers, Stephen Reso, Nothing But Oregano, Wayne Supergenius and many others. Two stages will be set up to ensure music fans donÂt miss a beat. The entire event wraps up with a performance by the nationally renowned All Mighty Senators.
Marion Street in downtown Lancaster will be closed all day to accommodate the festivities. A wide variety of food and drink vendors will be on hand, as well as artists and games for the whole family. Discounted advance tickets can be purchased at Marion Court Room restaurant and the Court Side Lounge. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate on the day of the event. For further information, contact Michael Geesey, manager/co-owner of Marion Court Room, at 717-203-1228.
