Open Interface Chooses Rococo Software to Provide European Technical Support and Services

Open Interface introduces a tiered technical support program that allows customers to select among several levels of support based on need. Dublin, Ireland based Rococo Software, an industry leader in Bluetooth® wireless mobility solutions, has been selected to provide European region technical support and engineering services for Open Interface customers.

Rococo, whose strength as a Bluetooth technology leader and as the founding member of the Irish Bluetooth Users Forum, adds depth and strength to Open Interfaces European presence. Todays announcement follows the availability of Open Interfaces BLUEmagic Technical Care Services program, a comprehensive set of technical support services that allow customers to select from among technical support services that address specific needs. Customers who use the BLUEmagic 3.0 embedded Bluetooth protocol stack will be able to purchase BLUEmagic Technical Care Services at three distinct levels: BLUEmagic eDesk Services, BLUEmagic Select Care and BLUEmagic Premier Care. Open Interface will soon add a Japanese technical support organization to support customers locally in Japan. As a function of the strength of Open Interfaces traction with customers on a global basis, localized technical support has been provided as a value--added service to help customers bring Bluetooth products to market quickly and efficiently.

The BLUEmagic eDesk Services Plan represents the entry level of technical support. Services include access to Open Interfaces support website, support via a dedicated e-mail address, past BLUEmagic embedded Bluetooth protocol stack version support, and advanced access to new software releases.

The BLUEmagic Select Care plan represents the second technical support tier, intended for customers who require more comprehensive support. In addition to all of the benefits of BLUEmagic eDesk Services, the Select Care Services program includes access to a phone support hot line, hosting of the customers target hardware device and software toolchain, a one-day training seminar, and a dedicated technical account manager.

The BLUEmagic Premier Care Plan represents the most comprehensive technical support program Open Interface offers its customers. The Premier Care Services program is designed to help customers become very well versed in Bluetooth technology and the BLUEmagic 3.0 embedded Bluetooth protocol stack. In addition to all the benefits of the BLUEmagic Select Care Plan, BLUEmagic Premier customers will receive a three-day training seminar, direct access to software engineers to solve critical incidents and on-site support.

Additional services can also be added to the standard contract support plans described, including BQB consultation, BQB test log generation, customized training seminars, customer care clinics for hands-on engineering assistance, specialized technical consultation and legacy product support.

Support services are offered from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm local time, Monday through Friday, in the United States, Ireland and Japan, adjusted for daylight savings time and national holidays as necessary.
