San Francisco Business Futurist Advocates "Future Shaping" Instead of Cynicism

John Renesch, author of Getting to the Better Future, strongly advocates rank and file citizens to get involved in helping to create the kind of world they want rather than remaining silently resigned to a world being shaped by designated "leaders." His latest keynote address - entitled "Future Shaping for a Better World" - is a "call to action" for people in all walks of life to start taking responsibility for their futures and the future of their children.

International keynote speaker, author and business futurist John Renesch has added a new talk to his selection of keynote offerings. He calls the new speech "Future Shaping for a Better World" - and will begin offering it to his corporate and community audiences immediately.

"The world seems to be going in a dangerous direction," he stated recently in an interview, "and the only way to reverse the trend is for all of us to begin taking responsibility for the kind of world we are creating."

Renesch makes the point that inaction is as much of a contributing factor to the kind of future we're heading for. "Not doing anything has as much to do with what we're creating as proactively adding to the problems," he told Molly Stone in an interview recently, "adding legitimacy through passive acceptance."

Stone, a freelance journalist, reports that Renesch is a pioneer in the movement to bridge the domains of work and human consciousness. She's referred to him as an evangelist for the movement in an article she wrote about him last year.

"It is time we took charge of the reality we are creating," stated Renesch emphatically, "and realize that we are complicit in all the trends we are so critical of these days." He pointed out that the growing divide between the Left and Right seems to be one indicator of a spirit of separation and finger-pointing permeating the world these days.

"In this shrinking world we need to recognize our interconnectedness - not our differences," Renesch emphasized. "Once we see how we are all connected, the schisms will start narrowing and we can begin shaping the future to our liking instead of standing by while it all unravels before our eyes."
