New blog site seeks opinions, offers free T-shirts

tude.com is a new site looking for opinionated netizens to submit their views on blogs and blogging, provides space on the site and a free Tude T to authors it accepts.

June 18, 2003: tude.com was launched to let bloggers air viewpoints that might not fit on their own sites, and for bloggees to post their views on why bloggery is the best thing since sliced bread, or the worst invention since pantyhose.

"A lot of blogs are themed and so show only one side of the blogger," says Hal Pawluk, founder of tude.com. "I'd like to give them a chance to show that there's a real person behind the public persona."

For blog readers, tude.com offers an opportunity to comment on the entire blog phenomenon. "The good blogs do have a mechanism to allow readers to respond, but this applies only to the content of that particular blog. I'm offering a broader scope," said Pawluk.

tude.com is intended to grow into a "meta-blog", with inputs from the full spectrum of netizens, rather than reflecting the views of a single individual.
