Reality Check Press Announces the First Truly Messianic Mezuzah Scroll

Reston, Virginia - The first truly Messianic Mezuzah Scroll has been developed by Sofer-trained calligrapher Hannah Wills in Israel and is being distributed worldwide by Reality Check Press. This is the perfect way to honor the Old Testament commandment to "Write them (the commandments of God) on the doorposts of your house and on your gates", while uniting tradition with a vibrant faith in the Messiah of Israel. On this sacred scroll of parchment are inscribed the traditional mezuzah passages from the Torah, "Shema Yisroel" and "Vehaya", as well as the Great Commandment of Yeshua from the Brit Chadasha (New Testament).

"How this scroll came to be is a story of God's grace in action," says Shoshana Montgomery, President of RCP. "When our friend Hannah moved to Israel, she was already well known for her beautiful calligraphic art, but she very much wanted to learn the exacting skills of the Torah scribe (Sofer). It certainly seemed impossible. Where would she find a trained Sofer willing to train a woman, especially if she was left-handed and would need a left-handed Sofer to train her? Through a series of unlikely circumstances, God arranged for her to literally run into just the right teacher on the streets of Jerusalem--and he was willing. It's nothing short of meraculous!"

The Messianic Mezuzah Scroll is printed from the original vellum (calf-skin) scroll, hand-scribed in the kosher Torah script. The scolls are printed on fine parchment paper, rolled and tied with a scarlet thread representing the blood of the covenant. They come gift-boxed with a complete English translation of the text.
