IRONWORKERS LOCAL 455 has filed a petition to represent employees of the Fonar Corporation of Long Island New York manufacturer of the STANDUP MRI

(PRWEB) July, 2003 -- Employees of the Fonar corporation have sought out Ironworkers Local 455 in order to have union representation. Fonar which is located on Long Island New York is run by Dr. Raymond Damadian inventor of the MRI.

Since the employees have started their campaign Fonar has terminated three employees for unclear reasons.

Frank DeFilippi Financial Secretary and organizer of Ironworkers Local 455 states that a hearing before the National Labor Relations Board on the matter is currently scheduled, and that charges with this federal agency have been submitted on behalf of the fired workers.
