The Manhattan-based (http://www.treetopdev.com) developer has taken great strides to not only update vacated homes, but also occupied residences to accommodate existing long-time tenants, according to Adam Mermelstein, a TreeTop principal.

Renovations to the building's two-and three-bedroom homes included new hardwood floors, modern baths and kitchens and many other upscale finishes and appointments. TreeTop also modernized lobbies and common areas.

"In most renovation projects (http://www.treetopdev.com), rehabilitation takes place around the occupied units," Mr. Mermelstein points out. "However, we wanted to complete an across-the-board upgrade that would satisfy the needs of both new tenants and long-standing residents.

"To accomplish this, vacated homes underwent a total renovation. We also fully modernized all occupied residences and addressed and fixed any outstanding issue."

188 South 3rd Street is now 100 percent leased. Rents at the building began from $1,700 for two-bedroom homes and $2,300 for three-bedroom designs.

In addition to 188 South Street, TreeTop has also recently completed the lease-up of Triangulum, another renovated rental building (http://www.treetopdev.com) in Williamsburg. Impressively, all of the 30 apartments in the six-story corner building at 326 South 1st Street were reserved just one week after leasing began.
