Saugatuck Founder McNee to Present at OpSource's SaaS Summit 2008 Head of leading SaaS research firm to share insights related to emergence of SaaS integration and development platforms and market shift toward broader enterprise-wide requirements at 3rd annual SaaS Summit conference. Westport, Connecticut (PRWEB) February 27, 2008 The emergence of robust software-as-a-service (SaaS) integration and development platforms combined with an increased openness by business and IT users to leverage SaaS for "core" (often mission-critical) business processes signals the emergence of a new enterprise-wide and cloud-driven architecture for core business systems. These are two key research themes that will be highlighted at the OpSource SaaS Summit 2008 by Saugatuck Technology founder and CEO Bill McNee, which begins on Wednesday February 27th at the Westin St. Francis, in San Francisco, California. On Thursday morning, February 28th, Mr. McNee will present Saugatuck's latest SaaS research in a main-tent session titled, "SaaS and the Third Wave." McNee will share preliminary insights from Saugatuck's third annual SaaS research initiative. As with previous SaaS research programs that the firm has conducted, last week Saugatuck closed a worldwide buyer demand survey with more than 400 senior business and IT executives participating. While the analysis is far from complete, the presentation will highlight some of the top-line findings from the research, and explore important implications for the 500 or more senior vendor executives anticipated to be in attendance. In addition, Saugatuck will share preliminary insights from more than 20 deep-dive briefings with leading and emerging SaaS providers, and two dozen interviews with users of on demand solutions currently being conducted. Ultimately, all of this research will help fuel a variety of research deliverables for Saugatuck's ongoing subscription research service (CRS), including two major SaaS-focused research reports scheduled for publication in April and May, 2008. Other in-depth Saugatuck research reports planned for 2008 include Saugatuck's 2nd annual "C-Team" study (conducted in partnership with BusinessWeek Research Services), a Web 2.0 study, a third SaaS study (focused on core financial systems, conducted in partnership with the FEI), and the firm's second annual Open Source study.
