JotMobile Networks Announces A Fast Mobile Phone Text Input Method and Editor for Developers
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) August 6, 2003 - JotMobile Networks announced today the immediate availability of the ION(tm) text input and editor for mobile phones. The ION application programmer interface (API) is a developer solution enabling improved text entry in all developer applications written for Java-compatible (J2ME) mobile phones. The ION editor includes a full graphical keyboard. The ION keyboard is optimized for English, simple-to-learn, and fast.
Target applications for the ION editor include mobile phone email, web form entry for mobile commerce, mobile man-to-machine interfaces, and field force communications. Tests conducted internally demonstrate typing speeds that are 3-5 times faster than the default multi-tap text entry methods used on many mobile phones. In comparison with other methods, the ION method is more effective for producing useful, real-world written communications.
A J2ME demonstration application is available for free trial download at JotMobile.com. The developer toolbox is $125. OEM and enterprise versions are also available on a case-by-base basis. For more information, please submit an e-inquiry at JotMobile.com.
