OLAVARRIETA AND ESCOBEDO LAUNCH HISPANIC AD AGENCY IN NEW YORK

Experienced partners will provide close, personal management to each account

NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) August 6 -- Paco Olavarrieta and Javier Escobedo today announced the launch of their New York-based advertising agency focused on the U.S. Hispanic market. The agency, Olavarrieta-Escobedo (OLE), will provide the total commitment of the partners to every account.

Javier Escobedo has a 13-year history of leading and developing some of the best known brands. Most recently, he was Vice President of Marketing at Univision Online, based in New York. Prior to that, he led International Planning for Microsofts consumer products in Latin America and Spain for six years. He started his career in Mexico as a Brand Assistant at Procter & Gamble and in five years rose through the ranks to manage the Nutritional category. He holds a cum laude MBA from the University of Chicago.

The agencys passion for creativity is reflected in its initials, OLE. Paco Olavarrieta, the agencys Creative Partner, explains, For Hispanics, the expression 'Ole! is used when somebody solves a problem in a clever way or comes up with a great idea; its an expression that celebrates creativity, enthusiasm and things well done." An 18-year veteran of the industry, Paco Olavarrieta has a lengthy career as Creative Director. He is founding OLE after three years as Chief Creative Director at The Vidal Partnership in New York, where he developed award-winning work for Heineken, Cingular Wireless and Wendys. He has held Creative Director positions at Del Rivero-Messianu DDB in Miami, and Leo Burnett in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Also, this is not his first time in a start up. In 1992 he founded creative shop SOS in Mexico, which he left to move to the United States. Paco has been consistently recognized as top creative talent throughout his career. Most recently, in 2002, he was selected Creative Director of the Year by 'El Ojo de Iberoamérica, his work was named Best of Show at Advertising Ages Hispanic Awards, and it obtained Silver and Bronze at FIAP.
