Big Chicken Initiates Name-Change For "The World’s Biggest And Busiest Airport!"

Renaming of Atlanta, Georgia's airport is a HOT news-topic! Friends of the BIG Chicken Association has proposed "GKC" International Airport to honor Nobel PEACE Prize winners - Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., and Jimmy Carter.

Honorable ‘PEACE-loving’ citizens throughout the City of Atlanta, the State of Georgia, and ALL over the Earth are being invited to sign a new Internet Peace-petition to assist in renaming "The World’s Biggest And Busiest Airport" — Hartsfield Atlanta Airport! The Friends of the BIG Chicken Association, to celebrate their 10th anniversary, has been looking for a ‘courageous’ project to sponsor. In light of this, the project that has been selected is the "GKC" International Airport Petition (the ‘GKC’ representing internationally known Nobel Peace Prize recipients... Gandhi, King, and Carter). The City of Atlanta is becoming known internationally as "Atlanta- The City of PEACE!"

Considering that Dulcinea the BIG Chicken (the sponsoring organization’s namesake) has as her life’s mission to teach others about becoming more courageous, the Friends of the BIG Chicken Association wanted to select a project that would best represent 'COURAGE'. Regarding the renaming of the airport, presently, the names of two very worthy (yet only regionally known) former mayors are now being considered. Current City of Atlanta mayor, Shirley Franklin, has appointed a 17-member commission to search for proper ways to honor former Atlanta Mayors Ivan Allen Jr., and Maynard Jackson Jr., both of whom died recently. But considering that Atlanta is such an internationally respected city, the supporters of the "GKC" Intl. Airport Petition would like individuals of considerable international recognition, contribution, and accomplishment to be selected (Gandhi, King, and Carter).

Martin Luther King Jr. & Jimmy Carter are from Georgia, so it is NATURAL to want honor them! Jimmy Carter is the MOST productive former US President in the history of our country! And regarding Martin Luther King Jr., on August 28, 1963 he blessed us ALL with his GREAT "I Have A Dream!" speech! So, to assist in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of his GREAT speech (and his 75th birthday), it is natural to want to honor him as BEST we can! And for powerful international diplomacy, the East can be "married" to the West when Gandhi is honored too... hence: "GKC" International Airport!

Why honor Gandhi too? Because Martin Luther King Jr. was his MOST productive 'student', and author Sheshrao Chavan declares: "If the stature of men and women is to be measured by the fact that their ideas progress with increasing validity and momentum as time passes farther and farther beyond their own life, Mahatma Gandhi— "The Man of the Millennium" stands in lonely eminence! The Friends of the BIG Chicken Association was founded in 1993 in response to the threat by KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) that they would tear down the 55’-BIG Chicken Statue, and NOT rebuild it. With the professional support of STAR 94 Radio DJ-- Mr. Steve McCoy, the grassroots effort of thousands around the world was successful in convincing KFC to rebuild the BIG Chicken statue. Johnny D’Farmer, chairman of the board (aka John Randolph Naugle) is a professional clown who co-founded the non-profit: Friends of the BIG Chicken Assoc.
