Allan Hill, Nationally Recognized Abstract Collage Artist at Ambre' Studio, March 12 through May 9 Abstract Collage Painter Allan Hill, of Bucks County, PA, in a solo exhibition at Ambre' Studio, Bethlehem, PA, March 12 to May 9. Also, artist, author and noted educator Merle Spandorfer, to lecture, "What is Collage," on March 15th. Bethlehem, PA (PRWEB) March 12, 2008 -- The work of Allan Hill, a nationally recognized abstract painter will be on view in a solo exhibition at Ambre' Studio, Bethlehem, Pa, Wednesday, March 12 to Friday, May 9.
The opening reception, with Eric Mintel jazz pianist, is slated Wednesday, March 12, 6 to 9 p.m., Hill, a resident of Langhorne, Bucks County, PA, is noted for energetic, bold palette, affinity for texture and the abstract in mixed media, gouache, collage, acrylic and watercolor on paper.
The artist has earned scores of accolades including the Award of Excellence, Springfield Art Museum, 2003, and Award of Excellence, and International Society of Experimental Artists, Beverly Arts Center, among others. He has been represented in numerous major group exhibitions including the Miriam Perlman Gallery, Chicago; the Sacramento Fine Arts Center; the Philadelphia Watercolor Society 100th Annual exhibit: and the Berman Museum of Art, Collegeville, Pennsylvania, 2000.
A graphic artist by profession, Hill's paintings are in public and private collections across the United States. Additional events scheduled to coincide with the solo exhibit include: A lecture, "What is Collage?" by artist, educator Merle Spandorfer, Saturday, March 15, 1 p.m: Meet and Greet the Artist dessert reception, Thursday, April 17, 6 to 9 p.m.
